Classes in herbal medicine and wild foraging are planned at the New River CTC


SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Learn about herbal remedies you can make at home and foraging for wild food in community education classes offered at the Nicholas County campus of the New River Community and Technical College.

The herbal medicine class is scheduled for March 23 and wild food picking will be offered on March 30, 2022. Classes will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Both classes will be taught by a 15-year-old master gardener.

Participants in the herbal medicine course will learn about tincture or infused oil, and the wild foraging course will provide information on edible trees and plants.

Tuition is $25 for each class. Registration for herbal medicine is required by March 16 and for wild foraging by March 23.
